During a public appearance to a cathedral in Staffordshire on the start of the week, the King was confronted by a protester who asked him about Prince Andrew's relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The individual asked how long the monarch had been aware about his brother's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had instructed the police to "hide" for Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of fans and applause for the monarch, who was in Staffordshire for an event.

Prince Andrew's connections with Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The prince, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew?"

The King did not respond but continued meeting supporters, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a embrace.

A female bystander outside the cathedral was also heard telling the protester to "go away" and to "be quiet".

Controversy Reignited by Posthumous Publication

The scandal over the Duke of York's links to Epstein has been reignited by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre says she had sexual encounters with the royal on three separate occasions, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "several other minors"

Andrew, who agreed to a financial settlement with the plaintiff in recent years, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not recall meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions About Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a working royal.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has heightened the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for improvements.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned before members of parliament to give testimony about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last Thursday, the authorities declined to give MPs time to debate the prince's titles or his residence, despite growing pressure for investigation.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might go.
